About Us
Type One Stickers started with my daughter.
When she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, it was a real struggle for all of us. Like many children, she found it hard to adjust—especially when she had to start wearing a CGM sensor.
At first, she tried to hide it. She’d pull her coat over it and quietly ask, “What if someone sees it?”
That moment stuck with me. I told her she had nothing to be ashamed of—but I also realised that telling her wasn’t enough. She needed to feel it.
So I decided to make her some stickers.
Something simple that could turn her sensor into something fun, something personal—something she could actually feel good about wearing.
It worked better than I ever expected.
Before long, she wasn’t hiding her sensor anymore—she was showing it off. She started asking for more designs, more colours, more ideas. What used to make her self-conscious became something she was proud of.
Then she said something that changed everything:
“You should sell these so other kids can have them too.”
And that’s how Type One Stickers began.
Today, our goal is simple:
To help children (and adults) with Type 1 diabetes feel more confident, more comfortable, and a little bit happier with the devices they wear every day.
All of our designs are created with that in mind—turning something medical into something personal.
Because no one should feel like they need to hide.
As she continued her journey wearing an insulin pump, I started creating stickers to fit that, too, and sharing them on social media, where we developed a large following. This ultimately blossomed into the creation of Type One Stickers. I named the Type One Sticker Pony Josie, in tribute to my daughter, the bravest little girl I know. That brings us up to now with a shiny new website for you all to enjoy.
Your continued support means the world to us, so thank you all so much!

A message for Josie, aka Pod girl, Sugar and mummys little princess.
Jose, I wouldn't be doing this today if it weren't for you. I want you to know that I’m always by your side, ready to offer my love and support every step of the way. Your courage inspires me. I couldn’t be prouder of you. You are truly an inspirational little girl.
I look forward to one day in the future to you saying, “Remember when I had type one diabetes?” Until that time comes, you've got this!
